It develops under the bark, and, in advanced stages, causes a white rot decay that contributes to tree mortality, compromises the structural integrity of the tree, and makes it a danger to life and property. This publication discusses the symptoms, cause, and control methods to use to keep Hypoxylon canker at bay. Authors: Sheila McBride and David Appel. (4 pp., 6 photos, 1 graphic)
